About the event
Join Opportunity Education Global and The Field School of Hvar for two weeks of slow travel and an intergenerational Family Impact Retreat in Jelsa, on the sunniest island in Croatia. Mornings belong to your family. Afternoons belong to your young person, out on the island with local makers, farmers, sailors and cooks, learning real skills and doing work the island is counting on. Evenings everyone lands back at the same table.
Dates: Two weeks, June 19 to July 2, 2027. One week, June 19 to 25, 2027. Please plan to arrive by June 19 for orientation and kickoff.
Who: Youth delegates ages 12 to 20, and companions: the adults travelling with them, including parents, grandparents, older siblings 19 and up, aunts, uncles and godparents. Children ages 3 to 12 enroll directly with The Field School of Hvar.

Hvar 2027 Retreat Ticket
Choose your option: a $500 deposit to hold a youth delegate place (due by November 15, 2026; balance due January 15, 2027), or pay the full Youth Program or Companion fee for one or two weeks. Covers scheduled OEG programming, listed activities, local transportation, youth snacks and dinners on program days, Island Exploration Day meals, three shared family meals each week and gratuities. Flights and accommodations are separate.
